Bangkok Balcony

I came across this building in Bangkok and wondered what all the people living there actually did with their balconies.

Hundreds of almost identical spaces, repeating across the façade.

Much later, the answer came to me: coffee cups.

That observation became the starting point for 12 Houses.

The original photograph was then repeatedly copied, saved, reduced and copied again. With each generation, pixels and grain begin to break apart while the architecture itself remains untouched.

The building stays real. Its image starts to become something else.
