Architecture as visual system.

"12 Houses" features more than 12 real photographs of int. urban skyscrapers, presented in various scalable formats.

The images show details from anonymous and seemingly simple silos of houses, most of them with well over 20 storeys high.

Upon closer inspection, however, this architecture develops a detailed life of its own.

A digital copying process that finally leads to extreme reduction into an abstract graphic pattern, but at the heart very real photography.

Architecture as code.

Through the handmade digital collage and the stacking of the original photographs,

new visual architectural systems emerge as DNA located between architecture as design or as architecture of metadata,

while the core and colors of the photograph remain untouched.
